The course Potting media in container gardening is designed to make students aware that soil is the foundation for growing of healthy plants, and therefore, it is always very important to use the best soil mix for container plants. The course is developed for students to identify the properties of potting media and different types of soil for container gardening formulated for specific purposes as well as the components in a potting mix and their functions. The course will further enable the student to know how to manage and monitor important parameters of the potting soil mix, especially the moisture, organic matter, and fertilizer.
