Every aspect of farming from planting up to harvest can be benefitted from technological advancements. Continuous development of remote monitoring tools such as, satellite or unman aerial vehicle UAVs monitoring together with advanced IOT platforms in one way, and autonomous robotics, mechatronics and artificial intelligence in the other way are expected to be in leading in agricultural production systems worldwide in next two decades. Therefore, the graduates of BSc Green Technology disciplines in next few decades are expected to be competent in performing better in such systems. Therefore, This optional course is provide basic knowledge components and the application in precision farming technologies. (common sensors and transducers in precision farming, basic control system architectures, geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS), remote sensing systems, variable rate applications)

This is Two Credit Elective course module for the Degree Program Bachelor of Science in Green Technology for Semester 2-2
