This course is designed to make students aware on hygienic strategies and common health problems found in farm animals, and to equip students with appropriate preventive measures to minimize health risks in animal production. Those approaches are essential to maximize the profit in farm operations. Furthermore, students are given a basic knowledge on one health, zoonotic disease threats and notifiable diseases. This course also prepares the students to Practical Livestock Production course.

AS3102 is a 2 credit course offered by the Department of Animal Science in the third year and designed to equip students with knowledge on animal based products, handling and primary processing in order to improve throughput, quality and wholesomeness
