Designing different cropping systems to achieve ecological, economic and social sustainability while using limited resources is the main objective of this course. This one-credit course is compulsory for students who specialise in Crop Science in their final year.

Aims and Objectives

This module provides an opportunity to practice/experience the gained knowledge on production technologies, marketing of cut flowers and foliage species and understanding of the hi-tech floriculture through field visits. The supportive industries related to floriculture will be discussed. Module also covers the principles of landscape gardening through visiting landscape sites

2 credit (Elective) ARMT and AB

Aims and Objectives

This module covers the topics of basic requirements and techniques of plant tissue culture. Module provides an understanding of how these techniques can apply in producing crop species. It also provides an understanding of applications of plant tissue culture techniques in crop improvements, breeding, germplasm conservation and synthetic seed production
